Lead Operations Research Analyst

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Education Requirement for an Operations Research Analyst:
Degree:
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in operations research; or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below. Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes:
1). Providing strategic advice and presenting analysis to senior leadership on matters related to cost and funding requirements; 2). Applying advanced analytical concepts and techniques to design and lead evaluative studies and projects; 3). Leading, organizing, tasking, or providing cost and operations research guidance to other employees; AND 4). Advising leadership on cost and funding concerns surrounding proposed Acquisition and Sustainment strategies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02/GS-11. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (NH-02/GS-11).
