Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. In addition to the competencies, to qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do this work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as:
1) Advising on equipment to include sensors, detectors, decontamination and protective equipment to support results of ionizing and nonionizing radiation evaluation. 2) Providing analysis to prepare evaluation plans relating to radiation hazard threats and 3) Providing the planning of long range radiation safety studies to minimize/eliminate radiation hazards. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02/GS-11. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Health Physics Compliance Inspection Technical Competence Decision Making ALL candidates must possess the Basic Educational Requirement to be considered for this position. Basic Educational Requirement-Health Physicist 1306 (Transcripts Required) Degree:
natural science or engineering that included at least 30 semester hours in health physics, engineering, radiological science, chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, and/or calculus or Combination of education and experience -- courses as shown above, plus appropriate experience or other education; or certification as a health physicist by the American Board of Health Physics, plus appropriate experience and other education that provided an understanding of sciences applicable to health physics comparable to that described in paragraph above.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
