Description :
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Develops and executes programmatic budgets and financial plans or assigned programs.
Provides financial analysis and general business expertise to various assigned projects/programs.
Supports programs strategic decision making with financial analytics. Raises issues and concerns as required.
Prepares special reports and financial studies for management and alerts them to significant variances to plan.
Coordinates, negotiates, and resolves financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation.
Participates in establishing and defining program plan requirements and conducts program plan studies.
Coordinates inter-departmental development of program plans and interfaces with vendors and customers as required.
Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
Prepares briefings, documentation and reports for business or financial case reports by project.
Produces tables and charts that correctly reflect analysis for presentation.
Develops thorough and clear presentation materials to illustrate strategy.
Forecasts and tracks financial results throughout the year to meet budget projections.
Organizes budget templates and data in a clear and intuitive manner.
Links budget requests to specific assigned project programmatic strategies.
Maintains and improves tools for accurate financial forecast projections.
Works with staff to support the development, update, and monitoring of new and existing business plans for submission to clients.
Creates financial models to support business planning exercises.
Identifies financial or operating risks associated with the business plan.
Analyzes feasibility of internal and external financial instruments to fund programs.
Provides project summary status reports to management as required or requested.
Conducts and may lead audits.
May provide work leadership for lower level employees.
Required
Qualifications:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related (technical program planning and implementation, contract interpretation, budget development and/or government project administration) experience.
Current Secret security clearance.
