Our Client, a major US Department of Defense Contractor, has an immediate opening for the following position:
Software Engineer/Architect (US Citizens Only):
Description
Key Role:
Provide software engineering support on a team supporting a DoD program focused on developing advanced prototype Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) and Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) hardware and techniques and modifying and retrofitting existing fielded production systems. Provide software engineering related to the design and integration of a complex hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) electro-optical laboratory designed to integrate and evaluate complex avionic systems. Develop simulation software based on weapon and target engagement scenarios, coordinate with test groups to observe the testing of avionic systems, and gather and analyze test data to develop detailed test reports and other technical documents, as required. This position may require travel for up to 5% of the time and is located in Aberdeen, MD.
Qualifications:
7
years of experience with developing software and creating software user interfaces-Experience with MathWorks software products, including Matlab or Simulink-Experience with performing data reduction-Ability to work in a team environment-Secret clearance-BS degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics

Qualifications:
Experience with Mathworks Stateflow and Real Time Workshop (xPC Target) a plus-Experience with flight simulation or aeronautics a plus-Experience with data acquisition techniques and motion control systems a plus-Experience with creating formal test and evaluation documents-Knowledge of electronic warfare and survivability equipment a plus-Knowledge of basic free-space optics a plus-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills-MS degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
