Job Description
UIC Technical Services (UICTS) is an Alaska Native holding company owned by Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation (UIC). UIC Technical Services is based in Alexandria, VA. UICTS and its Bowhead family of companies provide our government and private sector customers'' expertise in areas such as program management, systems engineering/integration, logistics/supply support, software management/development, IT services support, aviation logistics/performance based logistics (PBL), configuration management, risk management and training/simulation support.
Bowhead is hiring a Program Director, in Aberdeen, MD, who will be responsible for the direct management of Programs and technical and non-technical staff. The Director will have P&L responsibility for the programs and will organize project and task workloads to include selecting individuals most qualified for assignments on specific projects. The Director will be responsible for the employment, training, motivation and discipline of assigned employees and will also resolve any issues escalated through the Program Managers. The Program Director will also be accountable for Business Development and the growth of the business base and revenue. The primary focus will be in developing core areas of operations within existing work as well as emerging programs within the DoD. The Director will also have responsibility for customer satisfaction and the technical direction of the Aberdeen PMO path forward. Additional responsibilities will include the identification of new business opportunities and the development of strategies for growth.
Required Skills
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service to include customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Current knowledge of the units supported by Aberdeen Proving Ground as well as knowledge and experience with Army Acquisition Systems Management processes.
Desired Skills:
PMP certified
Software Engineering Management experience
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain a clearance at the SECRET level.
Required Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Technical Discipline or Management (preferred) and 10 years of relevant experienceor an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidates must follow all company Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Requirements.
All post-secondary education listed on a Candidate s application and resume must be verifiable, including but not limited to dates of attendance and degree/diploma awarded. Post-secondary education includes any courses taken through an accredited college or university in pursuit of a degree.
