Key Role:
Provide executive communications support to US Army clients to develop and execute tailored communication strategies and plans with a focus on promoting the client''s work and value to the mission. Coordinate with subject matter experts and support preparation of reports, speeches, outreach materials, and products. Support the production of communication product development, including press releases, newsletters, fact sheets, Web and social media sites, and events for stakeholders. Support planning and executing special events and meetings. Develop briefings, presentations, and other communication tools to support internal and external program audiences and staff. Monitor current events in science, politics, and government in order to create relevant links between client projects and current events.
Basic
Qualifications:
-2 years of experience with strategic communications
-Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Ability to write and edit documents using the Associated Press style guide
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional
Qualifications:
-Experience with writing, journalism, marketing, or business
-Experience with client service and working in a team environment
-Experience with the DoD community
-Knowledge of issues facing the DoD community
-Ability to work as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while continuing to be a forward thinker
-Possession of excellent editing, analysis, and data gathering skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
