The following job description describes the criteria for the role of Mid-Level Web Software Engineer. The Mid-Level Web Software Engineer develops high quality web sites and applications for internal and external consumption. Performs a variety of tasks to ensure compliance with Government standards and regulations related to web site design, function and accesibility. Has the ability to manage multiple parallel development and maintenance tasks, integration with external resources and database systems. Required Skills: Four years of Experience with web development languages such as Perl, PHP, ColdFusion, ASP, JSP, etc. Experience integrating with databases using SQL. Experience in requirements analysis and design for web systems. Experience securing web sites and applications against known hacks such as Cross-Site Scripting. Desired Skills: Understanding of Section 508 requirements. Understanding of HPC. Experience with token-based authentication methodologies. Required Education (including Major): Bachelor of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Management of
