The Safety Pillar Site Lead will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture within our Aberdeen plant and The Clorox Company organization.
This individual will be responsible for leading and implementing safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance.
Starting pay range:

36 hr In this role, you will:
Due to meeting business demands and training opportunities, this person must be prepared and willing to work flexible hours as determined by business needs.
This would include Overtime, weekends when required and, up to 30% off shift coverage.
Must be Level 3 or Team lead to apply.
Must be dynamic, energizing, and have consistently demonstrated exceptional Team and Interpersonal skills and people development.
Lead the Safety Pillar team, ensuring the effective implementation of safety programs and initiatives.
Conduct regular safety audits, meetings, and safety stand downs to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver safety training programs, ensuring employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their job safely.
Monitor, own and, analyze safety performance metrics, identify trends, and develop action plans to address areas of improvement through learning teams.
Consistently demonstrated exceptional performance and leadership in the areas of Safety Care cards, Safety Pillar meetings, and Risk Prediction Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Previously and consistently demonstrated a high standard of Workplace Organization (WPO), keeping Safety as a core value.
Demonstrated excellent time management, organization, planning, and prioritizing skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and reprioritize tasks according to business needs, direction, and primary responsibilities in an ever evolving atmosphere.
Demonstrated superior interaction skills, both one-on-one and in group settings and with all levels of the organization.
Must be able to effectively navigate, manage, escalate and resolve conflicts as they arise while maintaining or enhancing the self-esteem of those involved.
Coordinate and Lead Milestone celebrations related to Plant Safety.
Demonstrated problem solving/analytical and mathematical skills.
Willingness to travel to participate in conferences, training, etc Ability to represent ideas effectively and report information clearly in written and verbal communication (e.
g.
, one on one, group discussions).
Understanding of Safety &Health general industry compliance and application requirements.
Must be resourceful and able to demonstrate the ability to network and leverage experts outside the plant as necessary.

Safety Overall Program Administration Facilitate communication and accountability to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and Clorox standards, to include verification of work and on-time completion of all STRACs tasks in Intelex.
Ensure regular communication with the plant on learning's and follow-up from near miss cases, injuries, etc Administer, support, and maintain plant Safety management systems such as Intelex and 3E Online.
Support and maintain accurate, current, and orderly files for Safety & Health documentation, including specific monitoring records, compliance documents, agency correspondence, and inspection reports (always audit and inspection ready).
Validate the accessibility and quality of key Safety documents to include Job Safety Analyses, Safety maps, lockout procedures, and other related documents.
Track plant Safety metrics, communicate results to associates and management, coach Safety improvement teams, and ensure follow-up to all Safety corrective actions.
Work with plant leadership to ensure all site Safety programs are effectively implemented, robust, and sustainable.
Actively participate in and ensure completion of all aspects of an incident investigation process.
Effectively lead and support Site Safety Pillar Team.
Support and participate in new corporate Safety initiatives as needed.
Support and participate in Safety Audits of plant processes and departments.
Participate in Safety audits with corporate, local, or federal Safety agencies when inspection visits occur.
Proactively leverage external (e.
g.
, shared services) and Clorox GSE resources to deliver and support the site Safety Plan.
Safety Training & Development Develop and sustain a site Safety & Health training program that meets or exceeds OSHA regulations and Clorox standards.
Integrate the Safety and Health training into the overall Training & Qualification (T&Q) methods and platform.
Assist in identifying and developing site Clorox employees as both subject matter experts and to help deliver the Safety & Health training.
Ensure that appropriate site employees are trained in and understand applicable Safety & Health policies and procedures.
Support and coordinate training for any new corporate Safety initiatives.
Solicit support in developing technical expertise in Safety concepts, standards, & training.
Provide coaching as needed to site personnel to set up for success.
Safety Managing Projects and Continuous Improvement Initiatives Support and assist in driving Safety & Health projects that are initiated via corporate initiatives and site improvement efforts (e.
g.
, risk reduction program, updates to Safety management database, new regulations, etc.
).
Effectively oversee and coordinate Safety activities for site (e.
g.
, Safety focus events, fire drills, etc.
).
Identify trends to improve current plant Safety processes and to reduce and eliminate known Safety hazards.
Regular networking and communication with GSE team and other site Safety pillars within the network to share learnings, best practices, etc.
What we look for:

years of experience in safety capacity required.

Candidate must be an Associate in good standing and must have an overall performance that supports and meets the business.
Strong computer skills including but not limited to Shared drive navigation, Intranet and Internet, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
